Our Collaboration Kit competition 2022 challenges you to either design or build a collaborative web application using the Vaadin Collaboration Kit: The world’s simplest solution for building powerful, real-time collaboration features into web applications. In 15 minutes, you will have your first app running. Read more at vaadin.com/collaboration

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded in two categories (Development and Design) to the top three submissions and two special mentions.
The top three winners will also get a two-year unlimited runtime license for Collaboration Kit.

Category 1: Design

  • Sign up for the challenge
  • Complete the warmup quiz
  • Clone Vaadin Design System for Figma

Tools and skills needed:

  • Good Figma knowledge
  • Familiarity with Vaadin Design System

  • Basic web development skills
  • Basic Java development skills
  • Familiarity with GitHub

Rules

  • Submission period: November 15, 2022 - January 31, 2023
  • Participants can only submit their own work and ideas.
  • The applications submitted to the competition are public either in Figma or GitHub.
  • The participant will retain the rights to their own ideas.
  • Only one submission by participant for each category (You can submit the same application for both tracks) .
  • Vaadin employees or their direct family members are not allowed to participate.
  • All taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners.
  • The organizer reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate applications.
